4th of July Celebration

Porch Decoration Contest

Sadly, the parade is Cancelled – COVID rained on our parade – but we won’t let that bring us down. It wouldn’t be July 4th without a little friendly neighborhood decoration competition. Instead of floats, bikes, golf carts and other vehicles, let’s keep the Canyon Creek Patriot Spirit alive with a Patriotic Porch Contest!

Here’s how it works – decorate your porch by July 1st (to be considered in the contest.) Our parade judges will use their skills to pick the best patriotic porch decorations. There will be winners in each quadrant of the neighborhood. Click on the LINK to nominate a neighbor (or yourself – don’t be shy). The winners will be announced by end of day on July 4th.

At 10 am on July 4th (our regular parade time), residents can have their own “reverse parade” by driving through the neighborhood and looking at all of the beautiful patriotic porches. Feel free to decorate your bikes and golf carts to keep the spirit alive.

Important Update!!!

If you didn’t get your order, there are extra shirts in front of Sweet Firefly. You can pick them up there. Thanks!

It wouldn’t be the 4th of July without our special neighborhood t-shirts! Congratulations to our winner, Gayle Simpson, on Shady Hill Dr. We want to thank all of our creative designers who submitted entries this year. We had several to choose from and the decision was difficult. We felt like this image really captured the spirit of our community this year.
